Little Washington TheatreRAAC is the proud owner of the historic Little Washington Theatre, thanks to the extraordinary generosity of Nancy Raines. Throughout the year, RAAC Community Theater group brings the stage to life with comedies, dramas, staged readings, and family-friendly productions that welcome both seasoned actors and first-time participants.

The Little Washington Theatre is also a gathering place for the wider community. Alongside live theatre, RAAC presents occasional concerts, free monthly first-run films, and RAAC Talks—engaging conversations with writers, artists, researchers, and other fascinating guests who share new books, current work, fresh ideas, and perspectives on the issues shaping our world. Whether you’re attending, performing, or volunteering, you’ll find a warm welcome and a chance to connect through the arts.

The Theatre Renovation

Rendering of Little Washington TheaterRAAC is preparing for a bold renovation and expansion of the Little Washington Theatre—an investment in the future of the arts and community life in Rappahannock County. The project will create a larger, more welcoming lobby, improve accessibility and audience comfort, provide much-needed backstage and support space for community theatre productions, and enhance the theatre’s ability to host a wider range of performances and events while preserving its historic character.
